ACI-6677 is a mouse IgG2a monoclonal antibody targeting TDP-43 (TAR DNA-binding protein 43 kDa), with an EC50 of 63 pM and a KD of 380 pM. ACI-6677 binds to the pathogenic TDP-43 amyloid core and C-terminal fragments, interfering with their pathological functions. ACI-6677 inhibits TDP-43 aggregation, promotes clearance of pathological aggregates by phagocytes, limits the formation of phosphorylated TDP-43 inclusions, and blocks pathological spread. ACI-6677 can be used for research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 pathology[1].
